Geochemical implications from torbanite

Abstract
Torbanite are exinite-riched coals with massive appearance and conchoidal fractures. Geochemical analysis were performed characterize their geochemical implications. By using density gradient centrifugation, we can sparate torbanite into alginate and amorphous organic matrix. In addition, H/C and O/C atomic ratios were evaluated after elemental analysis. Furthermore, the results from Flash pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry indicate that the higher hopanes, linear and non-linear carbon skeletons of matrix implied an origin of multiple precursors. Finally, the stable hydrogen isotopic compositions of individual hydrocarbons analysis approved to be a useful method to reflect and reconstruct the depositional of samples studied.
