Noise analysis in California and Southern Nevada

Abstract
Most researches using geodetic measurements consider only the white noises, while color noises are also important factors. To understand the effects of color noises, Langbein et al. [1997] conducted a research about the noise in two-color EDM, using power spectrum density analysis and maximum likelihood estimates, fo und that flicker noise is considered as the most significant time-dependent noise component in two-color EDM data .
In an attempt to understand the time-dependent noise components in geodetic measurements , Langbein [2008] estimate the noise in GPS time series, using more models that didn't consider by similar researches (e.g. Mao et all [1999]) . Found that only a low percentage of sits required those models, and random-walk noise is considered as the most significant time-dependent noise component in GPS data .
